Don’t get me wrong exodus is a brilliant game on its own, but playing it before 2033 and last light will imo decrease the experience. Exodus is a great game and what you would expect for the series to evolve its the best in my opinion but i would play 2033 then last light before exodus.

I would definetly recommend to play 2033 and last light prior to playing exodus, otherwise you are going to miss out on a lot of references during the story, and you won�t have any understanding of who the different characters and factions are, since exodus doesn�t really explain what happend in the previous games in great detail.
