If your game is crashing when you attempt this it would be best to first hard reset your xbox (hold down the power button until the console fully turns off, then unplug the power cable for 30 seconds before restarting), if that doesnt work you could try uninstalling then reinstalling halo 4 campaign and multiplayer from your mcc, which can be done in the games settings.
